Its been just over a day since my Father in law passed away. May 2011 Roger Brown had a debilitating stroke, it changed all of our lives forever. He went from a vibriant outgoing man to someone who could no longer help himself with the simplest task. He had become paralyzed on one side and could no longer speak. But he still fought through the odds against him.That same resilliance he had when he was well pushed him through another 3 1/2 years. My Dad was moved up here to Philly to get long term care and my husband , his son, was made his guardian. We took on the role of his voice, we spent alot of time together. My duty to him as his daughter in law was solely out of love and for the sake of God, he still got mad at me lol when he didnt get his way, he ignored me when he was mad, he would reach out and just grab my hand and hold it at times. We had our good days together and bad. But no matter what I had his back and I pray he knew that. Rogers life had become a regular part of mine up until October 1 3:48 am. I will miss him dearly and it will take some getting used to not making it part of my day making the trip to Oakwood. I normally do not tell my personal business on Facebook. But I miss this man and I want to thank him for being in my life.I also want to thank my husband for giving me the opportunity to know his father. He will be missed
