Its been nearly six months since the closure of our local full service hospital. Although emergency services have been restored, the scars from the entire ordeal still linger. Seeing my wife lose the job she loved was harder than many things Ive had to endure in my life. She took an incredible amount of pride in the fact that she was educated locally and was able to serve her community with that education. She also worked with an incredible group of nurses who ALWAYS put the patient first. Even though Lindsay really likes where she is working now, its difficult to see her in those moments when you can tell just how much she really misses it. NARH was a very special hospital, indeed. But it was made that way by the caring and talented people who worked there. Keep fighting the good fight. Cheers
