Its been over a week and my bumped toe is still horrible. Its making my walking worse... To the point I have pulled out the wheelchair for today. Each year Jason and I look forward to the Got To Be NC Festival and Pig Jig. I am going and I will push to walk as long as I can possibly endure but I may have to concede to wheelchair. With that said I want to say... If you have never to spend even 1 day in a wheelchair or go to one event in a wheelchair... You need to give praise! It is awful! Nothing is truly wheelchair assessable. Opening doors, trying to navigate through crowds, trying to look through clothes racks is impossible, and dont even think about Cracker Barrel (that is def a nightmare). Yes we deal with what we have to and if the day comes I spend every day in a wheelchair I will survive just as many do. But most never even consider the possibility because you WALK without pain and have no reason to doubt youll ever not be able to walk. GIVE PRAISE TODAY! See every step I take hurts so it reminds me to give God praise for the fact that I am walking. But for most walking just comes natural so we forget its precious. So today every step you take please let your heart rejoice. When you see your children RUN and laugh... Give praise!!!!! Even what comes natural is a blessing. And let us all pray for those who have no choice but to push on in a wheelchair. I admire you all so much! (Sorry that turned into a mini sermon)
