Its been quite a roller coaster of a season for our LionsXII this time.Expectations had been an all time high for our boys of 2014 , especially with their majestic league win in 2013.Local fans , glory hunters typically as they always be started being sceptics after such a poor season to date.Putting the whole blame to coach Fandi is particularly unfair as this is his first season in charge of LionsXII and adding to that , who could blame him if he had limited sources to pick his best team.LionsXII being a developmental team as such is a brave front in such a challenging league ( or I must say pathetic , haha ) and coach Fandi has to make do with what he has to put in to the floor to fight with the best of Malaysia. Sack Fandi?..you must be joking..hes the best there is to lead our current young talents.What happens on the playing field are the players themselves , consider themselves lucky to play under the best that the country had conjured.The players should be proud and more motivated to play for Fandi.His traits has somewhat rubbed into his team.If you can remember the boys performances against mighty JDT in the so called This Is Larkin cauldron , who would have thought that the boys could come back to claw a two goal deficit and silence the gloryhunting faithful with an unexpected remarkable performance... Thats a Fandi team I knew. So what I can say , blame LionsXII , dont blame Fandi for I knew that he had done his best for everything but in the end its the boys that should produce the results. Keep believing ... Keep hoping ... Hopefully we could have a better Malaysia Cup campaign this year.. -AB
