Its bitterly and painfully cold outside. And Im worried about all the animals that have no warmth or comfort. Breaks my heart that so many dogs are out on chains with no bedding and shoddy houses. Breaks my heart that cats are huddled under houses trying to stay warm. If you know of an animal with no comfort, please be their voice. Please talk to the owners about providing for them. Take some bedding over, take heated rice bags to them, do something to help. If you have a heated garage, ask if they can overnight with you. Provide shelter for feral cats. Its easy to do and inexpensive. And if nothing else, buy bales of straw. A $5 bale of straw can mean the difference in life and death for a chained dog. Stuff the house full of straw and make sure the house is facing southwest. Its a great insulator and straw will help keep them from freezing to death. The cold is literally painful for me. I know it is painful for the animals that are left out in it. The fur on their bodies keeps them about as warm as the hair on our heads keeps us. Dont think they are warm because they have fur. They feel the cold just like we do. Bring em inside, keep em warm. Thanks.
