Its crazy. I had to research and compare the cost of living and demographics between Oahu and New York. It is more costly to live here than in New York, but they get paid more than double in New York. The rate at which people are on food stamps went from 89,646 people in June 2007 to 189,855 in June 2013. Two more years to live at this unequally paid location. The view is nice, but the cost of living to income is outrageous. Just enjoy being home with my kids until then. It doesnt make sense to try to work full time here right now.
