Its crazy to think that 9/11 was now 13 years ago! I still recall being in my history class (ironically enough) hearing students getting sent to the office with calls from their parents or loved ones saying they were okay or sadly died in the wake of the WTC collapses. Stories of people including my mom (who was suppose to be across the street working) just being late to work that day for whatever reasons, or stopped for a coffee that morning for a change. Lots of people were killed on this day from rescuers running into the towers, people trapped inside to others just trying to help where ever they could. It was a time everyone was able to set aside all of their differences and just help one another. For that I am reminded today to be thankful, be courteous, be friendly and to help others. You never know how much of a difference you can make in someone elses life with the simplest of gestures.
