Its disheartening that it was only less than a month ago that I posted this. I feel its necessary to repost it in light of losing such a wonderful ally of Houston arts, music, cycling, and so much more. Jeff, you are certainly missed. Repost: I wanted to reiterate the general sentiment of frustration and disheartenment over the confiscation of an important life. Your life IS worth it, people DO care about you, and you CAN do this. We are all in this thing together and ALL OF US have made that same passing thought towards giving it all up. This is simply not the right choice, no matter what the situation is. Call your friends, call you family, call me, call ANYONE if you feel like youre in that state of mind -- we will all tell you the same thing: YOU ARE LOVED. If you find yourself unable to talk openly to someone you know, the services below are all FREE and available 24 hours. A phone call is nothing compared to decision that lasts an eternity. If you are a UH Student: Reach out to UH CAPS Outreach at 713-743-5454. In case of an after-hours emergency, call the UHDPS Police at 713-743-3333 to reach their on-call counselor. If you are a General Houstonian: Reach out to Crisis Hotline at 713-HOTLINE (713-468-5463) If you are a Inner-Looper/Houston LGBT: Reach out to The Montrose Center at 713-529-3211. If you are a Veteran: Reach out to Veterans Crisis Line 1-800-273-8255 (Press 1) — via Free Press Houston
