Its funny how animals react when their person is missing for a few days. I returned home from the hospital to furry kisses from Heidi and Jiffy. And not your normal I missed you while you where at work kind of kisses. No Jiffy, who normally is happy to wait his turn while Heidi gets to say hello first, pushed his way in front of her and for an hour or more was only happy when I was petting him. Heidi lost her mind, or at least she acted like she did, holding my face in her paws and giving my wet furry kisses. Stormy our oldest cat, I rescued him from a dumpster 11 years ago, even he was supper sensitive to my being gone. When Hubby had brain surgery a few years ago to remove a brain tumor, Stormy sat with him at the table while Kevin was receiving his intravenous medication. Well today, once every one was settled Stormy made sure to cuddle with me for a bit just to show his love. Annie, another rescue cat, who normally never cuddles, also requested extra pets and lovin. So did our Polly Wolly, polydactyl rescue cat. She came out of her snuggle cubical and saw me, like I was a ghost, she just had to check and make sure I was real. Yes it is funny how our fur baby familiars actually miss there persons. And how there person missed them.
