Its important to point out that the administrators are really separate from the teachers at most public schools at this point. The actual teachers have little freedom to do anything other than what is mandated by the Principal. The Principals get their marching orders from the school board who are following the mandates of State and Federal governments laws and bureaucrats. Big government destroys what it touches. When I was in high school virtually all of my teachers had Masters degrees in their subject as well as a masters in education. they were respected and the principal did nothing but leave them alone to teach. As government influence grew the education level of the teachers dropped and the administrators began assuming a larger role in determining what went on in the classroom. This incident is yet another reminder of the stupidity that is in charge of the schools.
