Its interesting that many people who claim to have your best interests at heart actually harbor longterm goals to change you. Their motives may not even have any malice in them, and they may have good intentions, but they are often not consciously aware of their own longterm goals for the relationship. I interpret this as not being real with me. Good intentions mean nothing if brutal honesty is not included in the early stages of a relationship (whether it be philio or eros). Luckily, I dont require honesty in order to discern my peers anymore, which is why I have written off so many people in the past year the moment I met them. Merely opening your eyes reveals those in your life who are a waste of friendship. I soak up intelligent, constructive criticism like a sponge, because I love to grow. However, I do enjoy playing with those who see demons in everything I say or do. I have strange satisfaction in watching them struggle while regurgitating what their momma or some authority figure told them until something they say finally warrants no response at all. I prefer for my opponent to get the last word, because the last word is usually the weakest word. Ironically I learned these tactics from my Christian older brother Daniel who has a Doctorate in Religion, but I dont think he meant to teach his tactics to me, much less have me apply them in the ways that I do. lol. And this is one of those cases in which revealing my cards is just the thing to do. :) #devilmademedoit
