Its just too hard to talk to everyone personally right now, so Ill tell you this way that my darling Tom died on Christmas day, here at home. Hed been bedridden since November 5th, unable to maintain a sitting or standing B/P due to his autonomic collapse ( Parkinson Plus vs Multiple Systems Atrophy). Family and friends were with us continually since my cancer surgery (uterine) in October, and both of his brothers, Will and Mike; my niece Molly and her husband Tim; and my retired nurse friend Sharon Valk were with us his last week...and many other friends stopped by. His death was very peaceful and his hospice team and nighttime caregivers were very supportive. I hope to finish my chemotherapy by the end of January and my radiation therapy by the middle of April and will plan a small memorial service in the summer. Friends are caring for me as well ...my chemo side effects are baldness and fatigue and now some liver tenderness...but no nausea and my appetite is fine. I have a 90%-plus shot at a cure so am willing to put up with whatever transpires along the way. Heres hoping 2015 is a good year for all of us left standing! Love, Virginia
