Its my 33rd birthday today, and that alone is a victory and (I hope) gives parents hope for their children still fighting. I had stage 4 neuroblastoma, but neuroblastoma did not have me! By the way, I did the math... 7 kids dying every single day times 365 days a year equals 2,555 kids gone every single year. Multiply that by my age, and you get 84,315 kids gone. Just gone. And that is just in the United States! Worldwide, the number is even bigger! I am speechless. I do not know why childhood cancer is considered rare. It boggles my mind. To me, it is an epidemic. Hopefully, prayerfully, cures will be found in our lifetime. I believe we will get heard. As Audrey Hepburn said, Nothing is impossible. The word itself says Im possible.
