Its my turn to post something Im grateful for. And today I am especially grateful for Anneli Byrd and Lena Nichols. These two women are the reason I can play the piano and enjoy it so much. Today I went to the library to get a novel and ended up wandering the music section. As I was browsing a book of Concert Works for Piano by Khachaturian caught my eye. I grabbed it saw his Toccata was in there, and decided to check it out. I havent played Khachaturians Toccata in years, but I remember it was fun. I went into the piano room, opened up the book and started to play. It was so far from perfect, mistakes every two seconds and my tempo and dynamics were all over the place, but the entire time it felt like I was meeting an old friend again. As I kept turning the pages I remembered that this piece gets more and more fun and there were entire sections I had forgotten about. Im so glad I am able to enjoy the music and the peace and comfort it brings to me. This is one of my favorite pieces to play and listen to ever!! Enjoy it! https://youtube/watch?v=dB9ezP5e_l4
