Its nice to go to Court and appear in front of a judge who 1) doesnt sweat the small stuff; 2) doesnt hitch his wagon to formality; 3) doesnt talk down to attorneys; 4) admits his mistakes; 5) gives well thought out opinions. While Judge Richard Stone in Santa Monica does all these things, he is well respected by all the attorneys who appear in front of him, and his courtroom is as efficient as they come. Imagine that power-trip judges, treating attorneys as human beings actually makes everything run smoother.
