Its nice to see Starbucks finally changing some of its policies - TopicsExpress

Its nice to see Starbucks finally changing some of its policies after all these years. I truly love the company Ive worked for these past 6 (almost 7!) years, but I feel that the real problem lies at the ground level. Store Managers are either spread too thin in double/triple managing stores or are under the assumption that they can delegate most of their work, leaving it to fall upon undertrained and/or unqualified Supervisors. New Baristas are often rushed in their training and thrown onto the floor uncertified and unable to handle a normal workload. Ive felt the stress and pressure of this for some time and these and many other voiced concerns continue to go ignored. All that to say next week is my last week with Starbucks Coffee Company. Not to say that I wont ever come back, but for now Im seeing what is out there that would be a better fit for my family and I. Ive met some of the most amazing people and have made strong friendships that will last the rest of my life. You all know who you are so I wont bother posting everyones name but thank you for working hard alongside me, training me, dealing with jerks with me, all the high fives, and for being there to get a drink after a long week.
