Its no surprise to me that Paula Deen has come under attack. People like to speak about growth and change but at the first sight of a long ago mistake, a person who has built their life out of nothing to become a succees is having it all stripped away for admitting to using racial slurs at some time in her past. Anyone who knows me well knows that racism is something I cant tolerate but I didnt come to that conclusion over night. People grow and change but in todays society in American you are only allowed to grow and change if your ideas match the current issue of the day. I feel Paula Deen has shown more strength and determination to grow her business to a huge empire and now she is being brought down by the very narrow minded views that she fought to rise above. Before any person sits in judgement for what she is being accused of, look in your past and hope know one wants to take away everything you have because they dont like something you said at some point in your past.
