Its not often these days that something related to FPV really goes viral, but our friends at Airgonay have made quite a splash this week! Their Pod Racing/Star Wars/Drone Racing video has just passed 400,000 views. It has caught the attention of news media worldwide, along with many of the major technology websites. BBC, Huffington post, Engadget, Reddit, Electronics Weekly, Gizmodo, the list is endless. What is different about this?... there is no sign of negativity... no knee-jerk safety fears... nobody worried about Star Wars drones spying on them in the bath. It is probably one of the first times that the term Drone has been used in such a positive light. It is no secret that the ImmersionRC team has been beavering away on some technology to support this exciting twist on FPV. We are lucky enough to have our R&D labs just down the road from the Airgonay team, and you can be sure that we will be working with them to ensure that the hobby is well supported from a technology point of view. Well done Hervé, and the Airgonay team, a vision realized, this is only the beginning!
