Its not really surprising to see that its the right-wing who are loudest in banging the drum for Murphy as Labour leader. I find this piece rather illuminating, in that its all about why he should run as a step towards the realisation of his wider ambitions. Nowhere in this piece, or ANY OTHER that I have read about Murphy and why he is the best person for the job have I read ANYTHING about what his ambitions for Scotland would be. Run, please. Do it. Especially now Neil Findlay has declared. Run and suffer the utter abject humiliation thats been waiting for you your whole career. Run and see if Labour really loves you after all. Run and see if you can sell your politics to the electorate. Run, and be damned. Or be branded a coward. I found this bit especially funny. His tour of Scotland on Irn-Bru crates was a bravura performance that showed a determination not to be intimidated. Yes, indeed. The hype is alive and well, at least. Run. Do it. Make my year. blogs.spectator.co.uk/coffeehouse/2014/10/scotland-needs-jim-murphy-even-if-he-doesnt-want-to-go-back-there/
