Its not what THEY said. Its how YOU took it! Alot of times we have a predisposition about the person giving the message. And we allow that to color the lenses through which we filter the message. So instead of actually hearing whats being said, we instead hear our own prejudices against the person saying it. But who does that REALLY hurt? What if the message given was God-sent and heavenly inspired? What if it contained the answer to a prayer or the exact solution to a pressing problem in your life? I cant speak for you: but if my house was on fire while my family slept unaware inside, I wouldnt care how the rescuer got the point across to let me know! My familys safety trumps message delivery preference. Quit making excuses about the way a message was delivered. Because thats really what it boils down to: EXCUSES. If we be honest with ourselves, its not the delivery of the message either. We just dont always like hearing the truth! But those who hate to be corrected will find any way to save face and avoid honest self-reflection.
