Its official! My husband leaves next Friday to Mexico to be interviewed by immigration in Juarez on December 4th. It has been a long process and we are finally ready for the best news possible. He will soon be a legal US resident, but before he must leave the states for a period of at least 6 months. We are praying he gets lucky and his punishment is cut short to half the time. In the meantime my son and i must learn to cope with our loved ones absence and pray nothing bad happens to daddy while over in Mexico. If only the government could be more lenient on immigration status. Many like my husband, who have come in illegally work so hard, obey the laws, pay taxes and actually support a family without having to steal or do illegal stuff. Yes they broke the law by entering without permission but i hope one day that those who rape, murder, steal, and make kids without supporting them or who abandon them without being punished or getting away can see how lucky they are. Having to live first hand a loved one being removed from your country is tough financially and emotionally. I pray god protects him and that he soon comes back to his loving family and home.
