Its only been about 5 years since Ive been into photography seriously. I bought my first DSLR just 4 years ago. When I started, I read books and tutorials by geniuses like Scott Kelby and Joe McNally Photography. Now, after shooting the hell out of about 80 different countries and 6 different continents, Im humbled to see myself tossed into a pile with some of these guys and ladies that I used to, and still, idolize. Sure, Im nowhere near where I want to be, and their creative genius outstretches anything Ive even come close to attaining. However, seeing myself on lists like this with names like that, and some of my favourite photographers such as Richard Bernabe Photography, Jasmine Star, and Chase Jarvis is still a bit surreal. Its a bit inflating to my already over-sized ego, but also humbling to see these other brilliant artists and know how far I still have to go. 4 years from my first DSLR, I wonder where the next 4 years will take me, and photography as a whole?
