Its pretty special when you have a son who told Bill when he first met him that he always dreamed of throwing a football with his Dad...Bill bought a football and played ketch - Cam started calling him dad and from that moment on, Bill has been everything to my little boy. Fast forward and see Cam begging to have his name changed to Stone (he actually wanted to change his first name as well....to William Jr. lol) now at present day in high school where he wears his last name Stone like a badge of honor...At a recent Holiday party Cameron orders room service and shops and swims, his highlight of the entire event wasnt about any of that, instead he was excited and over the moon on how people actually thought Bill was his birth dad and I was the step-parent. Feeling blessed that my Child has hand selected such an amazing man for his father and that they have a special connection unlike any others I have known. My one wish for my son has been fulfilled, that he would experience the journey of growing up with a good man as his role model. Feeling blessed and peaceful today thinking of my two special boys and their bond.
