Its school awards time and our kids might look just like me but they are their daddys kids when athletic awards start being handed out. Oh no its not what you might be thinking....the most athletic boy and girl awards didnt come raining in... they were all nominated and got 2nd. Each of my sweet babies were awarded for academics, respect, honor roll but none of that mattered to this sporty, ridiculously competitive McGuire crew I live with. Nominated!!! Nominated!! What??!Their faces when their names werent called out made Leonardo DeCaprio at the oscars look giddy. Matthew McConaughey? Dang it! Academics..... Respect...Honor.... Ppppshhhhh who cares they said. Secretly I think I caught Cody giving me the stink eye.... Shorty, slower than a turtle, super sucky at basketball. I can promise you there was never a single awards ceremony where I was concerned about who won most athletic, ever. Whatever, I bring fun and hilarity to this sweaty athletic party, youre welcome. Our kids someday: academic scholarship! Thats Crap!
