Its silly to nitpick inconsistencies on Gilligans Island, but this one bugged me since I was a kid. The episode Pass the Vegetables, Please. After everyone discovers they ate the vegetables grown from the radioactive seeds, they obviously dont eat anymore of them. But a few scenes afterward, Mrs. Howell is speeding around on her sugar high from eating the beets. Thurston suggests she take a coffee break. Lovey agrees, sits down, AND EATS MORE OF THE BEETS! Why is she eating them when she knows how dangerous they are? In fact, why does Thurson not say anything? Im wondering if this scene might have originally been planned to have occurred before everyone discovers they ate the radioactive seeds?
