History has it that three of these guitars were made for Cash. One was destroyed and another stolen or given away in the early sixties. A 1958 Gibson J200 showed up on Ebay in early 2000 and was verified to be one of the long lost Cash guitars. For many years, that purchased guitar was on display in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. It now is on loan to the Johnny Cash Museum in Nashville by its owner. The third of the Cash J20 set was acquired by Marty Stuart and is part of his priceless collection.
