Its taken me awhile to even look at any pics and even talk about this on Facebook. Javi was more than a friend to me. He was mi hermano. My mentor and best friend. He taught me a lot about the bar business and he was good at what he did. We were good together a perfect team. I was new to El Paso in 2010 and used to go to the swap meet on dyer where Wal-mart is now. I used buy movies from Javier all the time. He would see me coming and greet me with a smile and a hand shake. So one day I asked him how he felt about me selling my mix cds with him at his booth. I think he saw my ambition and self-motivation. He told me was about to open a bar on Dyer and was looking for a DJ. The rest is history. A family was started; a bond was formed and Ive been there ever since. Ive seen ppl come and go; from other DJs, waitresses, and bouncers. He has always treated me with respect, and I was always loyal. I love you Javier (my twin brother…lol), thats what he always told ppl. No one can do what you did on Dyer. You brought everyone together to party and have a good time…PuertoRican, Mexican, Black, White, Soldiers, Locals, blind, cripple, and crazy….they all came to Rumors. Rest In Paradise my brother.
