Its that time of year again where we tend to evaluate our lives, - TopicsExpress

Its that time of year again where we tend to evaluate our lives, list out our accomplishments, make resolutions, set goals, and take stock in ourselves. This year I feel like doing something a little different and instead of focusing on what I did or didnt accomplish, Id like to bring to light the amazing things I watched my family and friends accomplish above and beyond awesome. The things that arent marked by grand recognition or hardly get a mention. In my own family there are too many moments to mention, but as always I am part of this strong group of women that know how to fight through even the toughest obstacles life can throw. I saw Christy Hansen Garn become a mother....again. You did it girl and you continue to impress me with your energy and love for your boys. I watched Kelli Conner Heier find new paths to walk in her life and come into her own. A beautiful transformation took place in her. I witnessed Sarah Francis trek through her first year without her father. Caring for her family and watching them find a new normal. I know it wasnt an easy thing but time heals. I could feel the strength as Ally Stricker prepared to send her only child to the military. There is something special about a mothers love that proves that the best things in life come from love. Nicole Shundry got engaged to her greatest love which was so happy, Chase Ghiloni was a support system during cancer treatments with such endurance, Daphne Hicks-Blankenship reached major health goals while her whole family got involved and it was awesome to see the way her sister Darcy Heller engaged in the whole thing with her, the list could go on and on from all of the things Ive witnessed with so many of you on here. People rescuing animals on the streets and getting them back to their homes, covering debts for others, donating time to the homeless, sitting by someones side for days so they werent alone when they died. I wish I could name them all. These moments are not rewarded with trophys, awards or special mentions. They are not measured with stats. They are not things people chalk up to the win column because traditionally we fail to celebrate the accomplishments of the human spirit. I would encourage everyone this year to not focus on the world view of what success looks like. Break away from that kind of thinking and find success in supporting each other, reward each other for kindness, celebrate the endurance of a person, not the final outcome. Likely it will make you feel more accomplished and successful at the end of your next year if you do. Hoping everyone of my family, friends and acquaintances have a wonderful year of happiness and love ahead.
