Its the 5th time in 3 weeks that I come to our municipality and cannot be assist because the system is offline. Yesterday was the same story at Home Affairs. A contributory factor to the appalling inefficiencies in our public institutions is uneducated and inexperienced leaders who cannot give knowledgeable, appropriate and informed direction to the institutions they are leading. They are acquire such critical positions not on merit, but because they know someone of political influence. Then in the private sector across most industries we still have to deal with uneducated afrikaaners who hold critical positions because they are beneficiaries of apartheid, who are racists at heart and refuse to transform. They are quick to label the ANC as corrupt but behind closed doors they are epitome corrupt. This is what Mandela was talking about with regard to the fight against black domination and the fight against white domination. We must continue to fight both forms of domination give proper effect to black economic empowerment, thereby addressing the historical imbalances of the past effectively.
