Its the second time its snowed in South Carolina this year, and since everyone here shut down everything, Ive found myself with enough free time to reflect on what Ive learned down here when it snows in South Carolina: - Snow is like the creeping death killing everyones firstborn son. Hide your kids, hide your wife, and hide your husband because its snowing everywhere down here - I will never take infrastructure for granted again, because despite it only being 29 outside, power is out across SC - Everything will shut down, except for the hospital, which has the police drive the staff to work - Locals act like little kids on Christmas morning when they see snow on the ground. - No, I dont want to go play outside - Friends have been relying on me to drive places because of my experience in the snow, and I am starting to feel like a salty vet. We were surrounded. Communications gone. Snowblower reinforcements never came. Snow up to our shoulder. All I had was a shovel and half a can of Nutella. - Because nobody else really knows how to drift, I feel like the Ron Jeremy of drifting when I go for a ride with friends - For some reason, people decide to stock up on milk before the snow hits. If its really the snowpocalypse, why do people stock up on perishable goods? - Locals think if they put their pickup truck on 4 wheel drive, they can drive the same In conclusion, the snow is death down here, but I dont mind having school off for another few days.
