Its time we defined the word religion in the context the Framers - TopicsExpress

Its time we defined the word religion in the context the Framers of the Constituiton intended. The Bill of Rights is a contract of negative liberties addressing individual rights. The Left chooses to obfuscate this clear and evident fact by interpreting the word religion in the first amendment as organized religion. But the first amendment only says religion and religion is a subjective term. Its clear and reasonable to state the Framers were addressing religion in the context of each and every individual not just organized religion. The word is best defined by what meets our material and or spiritual needs in the context we choose. Religion is simply how we choose to execute our existence. We all serve something. If the first amendment was interpreted as intended then it would have been impossible to create entitlement laws such as Social Security and the endless gamut that followed. Because an entitlement is a clear violation of the first amendment. When you define religion in the context wholly assigned to an individual any law passed by the government forcing one religion to serve another is antithetical to liberty and unconstitutional. All entitlement programs are a violation of the first amendment.
