Its true that I am a bit saddened by the current state of things, but that will not diminish my love for my country and the red, white, and blue. It is nearly the 4th and a celebration of self-government; a government that recognizes that our rights flow from our Creator, and that governments should derive their powers from the consent of the governed. Those ideas are enough to make me get up and dance like Jimmy Cagney. Its a grand old flag! My tradition is to watch Yankee Doodle Dandy over the 4th weekend. Watch out Jane, move the furniture, Ill be singing and dancing this weekend!
