Its weird how a customer can make or break your day. I work at a call center that handles the extended service plans from wal-mart, sams club, officemax, office depot, etc. And a person can call in and can call you horrible names and say horrible things all because they didnt take the time to read a brochure before they bought a plan. Today was a terrible day with angry people and right before I got off work, I got a call. Now, if you call these service plans and ask for a supervisor, you will more than likely get me, as I only take the calls where people ask for supervisors. I leave at a certain time and you always beg and pray you dont get a call 15 minutes before your shift gets off, but my phone rang, and I was upset i got ANOTHER angry customer. Well I answered the phone and met one of the nicest people in the world, who turned 8 hours and 45 minutes worth of horrible calls into a good day. I cant mention names (I dont know this person and they arent on my facebook). But next time you are on the phone with customer service, just please realize that these people are human beings too. If you are genuinely upset and have a reason to yell, we understand, but if you didnt read something, please know that person is a human being and has a life. When they go home, what you said weighs heavily on their mind, and isnt nice. Thanks for reading this if you did.
