It’s a Great Day in Galveston: There have been recent inquiries to the City regarding district lines along Pine Street in Galveston. The City works to make elections more efficient for voters and candidates by maintaining transparency and providing information readily available online. Please note that District Six lies on the west side of Pine Street from Stewart Road to Elm Street, where it then extends to encompass the west side of 73rd Street, north to Heards Lane. District Five lies to the east side of Pine Street from Stewart Road to Elm Street, and along the east side of 73rd Street. Questions about District lines or Voting Districts? The City’s website features an interactive Geographical Information System (GIS) map that shows City Council Districts, Voting Precincts and Justice of the Peace Districts.
