It’s that time again! Its time for the Colonial Heights Baptist Church Hearts of Compassion 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run, we know you will want to run (or walk) again to support this great cause. Thank you for your support and we look forward to another incredible event! The mission of Hearts of Compassion is to raise awareness of the orphan crisis and to provide funds to assist families that feel called to adopt. God is at work building forever families for these children whom He loves. You can be a part of that through our primary fundraiser, the HOC 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run! The race will be held November 15, with the 5K beginning at 8:00 AM and the Fun Run beginning at 9:00. There will be a silent auction November 14-15 as well. How you can be involved: 1) RUN OR WALK the 5K or 1 mile Fun Run - register here: colonialheights.org/heartsofcompassion or register at the welcome center at CHBC. People who are not local can sign up to register and run/walk on your own schedule, contact me for how to do that! 2) Volunteer - we will be having a BRIEF volunteer meeting Sunday morning October 19 following the 11:00 worship service at CHBC, be there to get vital information about how you can help. 3) Bid on Silent Auction items - the silent auction begins Friday night, November 14 during packet pickup and will continue through the race on Saturday November 15. 4) Sponsor - for a very limited time we are still accepting sponsors, please message me if you would like more information regarding sponsoring the race 5) Donate items for the silent auction - we are still accepting silent auction items, please message me if you have something you would like to donate. All donations of value are welcome, we are especially looking for “event” type donations, (a week at a vacation home, dove hunts, fishing trips, etc.).
