Ivan Alfonso listed a bunch of stuff about the old SF valley. That wasnt my valley, though. YOURE SERIOUSLY OLD WEST VALLEY IF YOU... Climbed Stoney Point. Ate at Don Pauls Seven Kitchens at Topanga Plaza while watching the ice skaters at the rink next door. Were jaded about listening to the incredible roar of the rocket testing in the hills west of the valley. Rode your bike all over the west valley and felt no fear at all. Shopped for 45s at White Front or Wallachs. Waited for the Helms truck on hot summer days. Put a penny on the train tracks coming down from Chatsworth. Shopped at the Sav-On on Sherman Way in Reseda before it became the Country Club. Bought Levis at Millmans. Had lunch at the A&W in Canoga Park because they still had car hops. Played in the L.A. River before it was paved. Had ice cream at Wil Wrights on Ventura Boulevard. Bought stuff at the Big A on Canoga. Went bowling at Rocket Bowl on DeSoto. Listened to Sweet Dick on KGIL. Went over Santa Susana Pass to get to the Simi Valley swap meet. Ate at Cupids Hot Dogs across from San Fernando Valley State College or at Tommys near the San Diego Freeway. Went to Busch Gardens and got a beer bottle keychain. Went out to Malibu Canyon when it was still way out in the middle of nowhere. Went to a Dales Market or a Dales Jr. convenience store. Thought that going to downtown Reseda was a trip to the city.
