Ive been a little reluctant to play this game, but two good friends have given me numbers, so I guess Ill give it a go..Mary K gave me the #6 and Haley gave me #3, so here are my 9 nuggets of Kevin trivia.. 1. In addition to my sister Clare, I have three half siblings from my fathers first marriage- Rick, Gerry and Ronnie and consequently, several nieces and nephews who are more like cousins because they are close in age to me. This scenario has recently set the stage for me to become a great, great uncle at my ripe young age. 2. My father was a WWII veteran. He was 45 when I was born, and nearly 47 when Clare was born. At 46 now, I cant even imagine having more children, but Im certainly glad he did. 3. All 3 of my children are miracle babies. Each were in NICU after being born for one reason or another. Jonah and Nicolas didnt even seem like a possibility early on, since Bonnie had ovarian cancer after Morgan was born, making the odds of having more children very slim. 4. My brushes with celebrities include: sharing an elevator with Clint Eastwood and meeting Sam Walton twice, Bill Clinton (when he was AR governor), Lou Holtz, several Saints players and Miss America from 1988. 5. I was salutatorian of my high school class and graduated cum laude in college. 6. Ive lived in several places- some near, and some not so near, including Maine and Tuscaloosa. 7. I once had the privilege of judging a sanctioned Memphis - rules BBQ competition, which required me to attend classes to qualify myself. The worst BBQ I had that day was exponentially better than any restaurant BBQ Ive had since! 8. The most awe and the most fear Ive experienced in nature came on the same night/morning in the mountains of New Mexico. Sleeping under a canopy of stars on a dark desert night was a spectacular, unforgettable experience. Equally unforgettable was waking up to a black bear sniffing around the campsite just a few feet away from me!! 9. Despite having gone through a very tough time a couple years ago, I am very grateful for every person who has touched my life over the years. My life as it is today is a culmination of all of my experiences- good and bad, and I feel I have grown and learned so much through them.
