Ive been arguing with my brother, the Rabid Republican, about this very practice. He, being a loyal listener to Rush Limbaugh [/gag], blames it all on Obamacare. Weve also had quite an argument over well-care being included. I agree its not insurance, but preventative. We disagree, bitterly, over whether or not early detection helps. He claims it doesnt help at all. I only have about 15 years experience in group health claims. He listens to Rush Limbaugh. Therefore, hes a much better judge of insurance than I am. [/sarcasm]
