Ive been doing corn in the microwave for years. For two people I usually make 4 ears of corn. I shuck it, then put them on a microwave-safe plate with a wet paper towel over them. I recently started leaving the stem on for holding while eating, and also it makes them easier to turn while cooking. Cook on high for 3-4 minutes, depending on the wattage of your oven. Rotate the ears so the side that was on the plate is up, cover with the paper towel again & cook on high another 3-4 minutes. Remove from oven. The paper towel can be thrown away, or used for wiping your mouth after eating. It will be moist, and sterilized from the heating.
