Ive been extremely reluctant to even post/comment about this because I dont believe the ignorance Ive seen about a person should even be acknowledged, but let me try. Richard Sherman is first off a person. Regardless of the color of his skin, he is a fellow human being that belongs to our human race and like everyone else deserves to be treated with respect. Like everyone else, he has his strengths and weaknesses. I do not know him personally, so I cant speak to them specifically. In his public life he is a professional football player. For everyone taking what he said so seriously, just remember, this is a person who plays a game for a living, he doesnt have our nuclear codes and he wasnt screaming hysterically about disrespect coming from another world power. Finally, try and focus on all of the positive things other people have to offer. For Mr. Sherman, I admire him not just for his playing ability, which is off the charts, but his dedication to his education and community. Before you label someone a thug, a piece of garbage or worse, why dont you take a step back and look at yourself? Ironically, you might be projecting your own insecurities and angry vitriol onto someone blessed with success.
