Ive been holding on to the past to the one I was before I think its time think its time I close that Damn door all the stupid lies and compromise Ive been wrong Ive been tied to the things Id once adored but now I have to realize those things are no more Ive been a fool been kid Ive broken hearts and tried cid Ive stomped on friends and family I wish I could say it wasnt me but I wouldnt be able to write this song, I ripped from the bong went up stairs and realized I belong right here in in the tide of what Ive actualized I wish I could just let it go but then how could I know that Ill be the man Im wishing for with out the memories And open sores its time to change its time for more Im glad Im not the man from before I opened my eyes and listened for the part of me that knows for sure there is so much still in store.
