Ive been making art for as long as I can remember, and in that time, Ive heard plenty of negative reactions and plenty of apathetic silence in response. Ive been accused of tracing, cheating, being full of myself, and more. Still, I keep on making art. Yesterday, I heard some words that hurt me just as much as any of the others, and I couldnt get them out of my head. Words cannot be unsaid, but worse yet, they cannot be unheard. Still, I keep on making art. Ive always said that I make art because I believe in putting something beautiful into an already dark world. I believe in following your dreams, even though society tells you dreams are a waste of time. And I believe in building people up rather than tearing them down. People have the freedom to like or dislike my art, and they certainly dont have to like me, but we all also have the choice to build up rather than tear down, to create rather than to destroy. Whether others think my work is good or bad, I will still keep on making art, because it comes from my heart and from a place in my soul that I cannot keep closed. Thank you, as always, to everyone who has supported me and my work over the years, from the bottom of my heart. I share my work because it makes me happy, and because I enjoy making others happy, too, but I am aware that by doing so I am also inviting criticism. You cannot have light without the dark, and I am certain I would not be living my own dream without the trail of beautiful people who believed in me along the way. Keep building others up rather than tearing them down. Keep creating instead of seeking to destroy. And keep on dreaming, even if it breaks your heart.
