Ive been nominated by Priyankar Patra and Twishashish Roy to do the book challenge. Basically you write down the names of 10 books that have influenced you greatly. So here we go. 1. Chaander Pahar (the mountains of the moon) by Bibhutibhishon Bandyopadhay. This is the first full length novel I read, and it really sparked off my imagination. 2. Harry Potter series. I grew up with the characters themselves and learnt a lot about friendship, love and magic from them. 3. The Sherlock Holmes series. Brought out the detective in me. 4. Tintin comic series. Always wanted to be a badass reporter adventurer with a cool dog! 5. The hungry Tide by Amitav Ghosh. Amazingly vivid. 6. The kite runner by Khaleed Hosseini ( please correct the spelling if Im wrong ). An emotional roller-coaster. 7. The Anandamela Magazines. These made up a big portion of my childhood. 8. The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. Gave me the courage to follow my dreams. 9. Goosebumps series by R.L. Stein . Though they dont have any such literary value, they helped sustain me in those long boring periods in middle school. 10. My school text books. They taught me what I dont want to study and gave birth to the rebel in me. I would like to nominate Devarati Tripathi and Shounak Das for this challenge. Go!
