Ive been overly stressed out over the past several weeks. The ones - TopicsExpress

Ive been overly stressed out over the past several weeks. The ones who are close to me can feel it and we find strength by encouraging each others. I got back from America a few weeks ago and a day later I heard about the 3 Israeli boys who were kidnapped. 18 days later their bodies were found and the investigation is leading to Hammas terrorists. And then a young, 16 year old Arab boy, was murdered. There have been so many rumors and deep down I was afraid. Most people here, in Israel, immediately came out and said they were hoping it wasnt one of us: A fanatic Jewish murderer who decided to revenge the death of our 3 boys. That boys murder is sad no matter WHO murdered him, but even if only a few of our people are capable of doing such an awful thing, murdering an innocent boy in revenge (remember? one such extremist murdered our former prime minister Yitzhak Rabin) - we MUST NOT tolerate it. It shames us all and it breaks my heart to know that there are such people among us. The families of the three Jewish boys who were kidnapped and murdered NEVER mentioned revenge. They were talking about their loved ones and focus on LOVE, not hate. Ive been reading our scriptures: the Tanakh and small parts of the Talmud that focus on Revenge and rejoicing when our enemy falls. Studying our Holy scriptures and the great wisdom of our Sages causes me to FOCUS on the truth. It helps me calm down and restore my faith in HaShem. I will share my studies when Im done, if any of you is interested to know what our Holy books and Sages say about Revenge and rejoicing when our enemy falls. I can only say at this point that it is intricate but fascinating.
