Ive been protesting on Fremont Street since 10/2011 and I have never seen any of these so-called protesters. Occupy is a peaceful movement of dissenters. Real Anon are typically hacktivists, not street-fighters, who are dedicated to hacktivism as a modern modality of civil disobedience; not physical face-offs. When Occupiers, Anon, or other dedicated peaceful protesters take an arrest, they want their case to be credible. They want their day in court to have significance in furthering the cause, not sabotaging it. I personally disavow these hooligans; they are lucky that peaceful protesters have come before them and that cops are trying to keep down their bad press. My gut, this is a false flag. I believe these are young homeless or runaways who may have been propositioned with money (or freedom) by those who want to sabotage a righteous movement for justice. We did have some Metro paid lightweight homeless provocateurs at OLV Area 99 (maybe one who wasnt lightweight, but he has long since fled Las Vegas.) Who would want to paint protesters of police brutality in a bad light? Why, law enforcement or the government, of course... But, very probably, imo, not Metro. Every Metro officer has family and friends whose jobs, homes, and families depend upon tourism. These boys are not with any of the old or recent wave of protesters that Ive met in my 3 years protesting on the streets of Las Vegas. These upstarts did a great disservice to a righteous and peaceful cause.
