Ive been reading all these comments and I dont see them as advocating death. More like advocating a perceived justice. And in large part I agree. I do think that it is very sad that this kid lost his life over a teenagers bad decision, but lets look at the other options not mentioned. A) Kid gets away with it resulting in one or both things. (Loss of victims well being/life, Loss of victims property, or both.) Moves on to next victim. Problem # 1 B) Kid gets caught, goes to jail for a bit at tax payers expense, learns to become a better criminal in jail, gets out to victimize society once again. Problem # 2 C) Kid gets shot to death during the commission of a home invasion, one less criminal to prey on law abiding citizens, a very CLEAR message is again sent to the local thugs in the area, and our Second Amendment Rights are once again validated. Problem Solved. While I agree that there are no winners here and celebrating the death of another human being is counter productive as a society, I also believe that when justice is served we need to keep in mind who the REAL victims are. #1) The guy forced to take the life of a teenager. #2) The teenagers family. EVEN in light of the fact that the possibility exists that the kid wasnt raised right or was from a broken home, he was still loved by others and they now suffer from the loss of his life. We have come to a sad state of existence in our society when Justice for some becomes Tragic to others. Very sad indeed.
