Ive been seeing a lot of ALS Ice Bucket challenges this past week. A lot of individuals complaining about wasting water, or saying they dont know what ALS is after watching people pour a bucket of cold water over their heads, or individuals saying they find the whole challenge pointless. I dont find raising awareness for any charity pointless. To the individuals who complain about not knowing about ALS after watching a video of a person pouring water over themselves: Did you know of ALS before seeing the video? Werent you intrigued to google what the ALS Ice Bucket challenge is? No one should be complaining about not know what ALS is after seeing the various videos. Its called doing your own research and educating yourself. If you can watch a 30 second video, you can read a small paragraph to learn about ALS. And if you think you cant google the disorder, then I think its time for you to take a break from Social Media and think of educating yourself. To the individuals who find the ALS Ice Bucket challenge pointless: Who said raising awareness and funding cannot be fun? Is there a law somewhere that forbids individuals from this type of a challenge? If a challenge attracts individuals and encourages raising awareness and funding for a great cause, then I see no objection to it. To the individuals who say the ALS Ice Bucket challenge is wasting water: Do you not realize how much recognition and awareness ALS is receiving from the challenge? So what if the grass or cement gets an extra bucket of water. If youre that worried about the environment, theres bigger issues that are causing damage than a bucket of water for a great cause. I strongly believe individuals need to stop with their negativity and focus on the good. Change your perspective on the ALS Ice Bucket challenge, go educate yourselves, donate to ALS, and pour a bucket of ice cold water on yourselves. Do good for the individuals affected by this disorder and maybe it will bring a smile on your face instead of the negative attitude. If you STILL want to criticize the ALS Ice Bucket challenge, then you need to click on this link and let this man change your perspective on ALS. If you dont watch the entire video, I strongly recommend watching it from 2:00 onwards. And if this video doesnt change the negative individuals, then I guess they can continue being heartless but please keep your comments to yourself because others are helping a good cause and they dont need your negativity. Please continue spreading the awareness for ALS!
