Ive been tagged by Delwyn Jenkins to tell you 10 things you wont know about me. This actually pretty hard as I am such a motormouth that I cant think of anything that will surprise you. Heres my best effort! 1. Ive had a LOT of different jobs in my life: shop assistant, tutor, bank officer, distribution manager, bakery assistant, supermarket manager, HR/training manager. My most recent two were Primary School Teacher and Professional Organiser. 2. Im a member of the Geelong Football Club and attend almost all their home matches. (And I barrack, much to my kids embarrassment!) 3. My not-so-secret dream is to spend a year living in New York, New York. Ive visited twice so far and each visit has left me wanting more. 4. I love science! Sometimes I wish taken the science route at school. I would love to be a doctor or a medical researcher. 5. Im passionate about organ donation. My dad was the recipient of a donor lung in 2003, so I understand what a wonderful gift organ donation is. My dad ultimately rejected his lung and died, however two other recipients from the same donor are still alive today (heart and lung recipients.) Thank you from the bottom of my heart to the donors family - whoever you are xxx 6. My book boyfriend is Mark Darcy. 7. I dropped out of my first undergraduate course - Law/Arts. Turned out law wasnt anything like The Practice (who knew?) and journalism (the arts bit of Law/Arts) wasnt for me. 8. I backpacked my way around Europe in my twenties. It was a great way to grow up. I hope my kids will follow in my footsteps. 9. Im claustrophobic and also scared of the dark. 10. I was once told by a journalism lecturer that I couldnt write my way out of a paper bag (yes, he said that.) It was years before I had the courage to write anything creative again.
