Ive been thinking. Who could replace Moffat as Doctor Whos show runner? Granted I dont hate the man or what hes doing with Doctor Who but with more and more fans tearing the show and Moffat a new asshole with each passing year one has to wonder. Here are some of the most likely choices(in no particular order) Neil Cross: Youre probably thinking who? Well this man has written and produced Luther. An acclaimed crime drama starring Idris Elba. Plus he has written for the show twice(I liked Rings of Akhaten the best) and he was an un-credited script doctor for Pacific Rim. But since Cross is a family man and doesnt want to uproot his family from Australia to Britain I cant see it happening. Toby Whitehouse: Not only has this man had experience writing for the series before(School Reunion, The God Complex A Town Called Mercy) but he also has showrunnung experience to boot with the hit horror British drama Being Human but also has an eye for horror as well which I think makes him suitable candidate(Plus his episodes arent bad either) Mark Gatiss: The most obvious choice. He was an active force in the 90s when Doctor Who was off the air writing novel after novel until the show came back in 2005 where he has been a regular contributor ever since. Plus the man has a deep love for the show and is a horror/history nerd. He also has some experience co-running Sherlock with Steven Moffat. So yeah. Final Pick: Someone completely unknown. Someone who has never seen an episode before but is an accomplished sci fi writer! Did I leave anyone out? Let me know!
