Ive been thinking about family. What is family? Is it the people who have the same blood coursing through their veins or is it the people that love you no matter what and have your front and back. Some people share the same blood and hate each other, others can be unrelated and love each other like blood. I am just one, one person, one soul, one woman, one daughter, sister, cousin, auntie, mother, niece, and being this one what is it that I am to gain. When someone new shows up in the family is it happiness, sadness, anger, stress, annoyance, love, gratefulness, is it complete now because they came along? This is my journey, I am supposed to learn about family figure out what that is. Every single being has a role to play, what role did they play? Did they hurt me or help me? God help me to figure this out. I know who I grew up with, I have those memories good and bad. Who is supposed to be there and whos not. Strangers we are until we realize who we are. I am me, not my mom, not my dad. Its moments like this when I am taught and so I walk in this moment and I prepare for who I am about to become.
